Surviving Bokator Trailer

Where Can I See the Film?

Surviving Bokator has premiered at many festivals, including the prestigious Austin Film Festival, the Philadelphia Asian American Festival, Hamilton Film Festival, the Refugees Film Festival in Berlin and most recently at the world’s largest competitive film festival, the Jaipur International Film Festival, and more to come…

We’re also partnering with local organizations and theatres to bring the film to YOUR community for theatrical and educational screenings including engaging discussions with community leaders, issue experts and the filmmakers.

We are honored to be part of CATCH International, whose mission it is to bring high-quality films, discussion forums, and workshops offering various perspectives on the Cambodian experience, to a wide audience.

Audiences in Cambodia have been asking when the film will be available in the Kingdom.  Plans were underway to release the film in Cambodian theatres to coincide with UNESCO granting Bokator World Intangible Cultural Heritage status, which was slated for late 2020.  However, with COVID restrictions in place, the theatrical release of the film in Cambodian cinemas has been delayed until 2021, post-pandemic.

In the meantime, to celebrate the World FICTS Challenge win, we are making Surviving Bokator available to rent online in select territories where we have distribution agreements, for a limited period.
